About me
Are you stuck at a low point and can’t seem to figure it out? Going through a breakup, or unhappy with your relationship? Feeling like anxiety is hijacking your everyday life? Whatever it is, let’s find a way forward.
My name is Alex, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New York State with over 7 years in the field. I have extensive experience with treating anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, identity/life purpose concerns, and stressful transitions. I can also help you with concerns like self-doubt, control, general relationship issues, and indecision.
I am straightforward, solution-focused, and will challenge you to take action to be the best version of you. My therapeutic style is relaxed, inviting, and always with a healthy sense of humor. You will always feel accepted, respected, and treated like a priority.
My primary therapy techniques are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, for which I have extensive professional training and experience. I am also trained in Exposure and Response Prevention, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy.
My only goal is to help you, and I don’t promise what I can’t deliver. If I don’t feel that I have enough expertise in whatever your concerns are, I will work with you on a referral. If it seems like a good fit, however, then let’s get going.
