Crystal Nuss

About Me

Hi! My name is Chris Nuss. I have a Master of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and have been a Licensed Certified Social Worker for 17 years. Through the years, I have been privileged to work with children, teens, adults, couples, families and groups. My experience includes work with depression, anxiety, stress management, bipolar, trauma, marital issues, ADHD, grief, sexual abuse recovery, parenting and anger management.

Making the decision to seek counseling is an important first step toward finding the solutions you are looking for. It would be my privilege to support you in reaching your goals. We will work together to focus on your strengths and needs. Counseling can provide the tools and resources that can bring about positive change, as well as a fresh perspective on lingering problems. I can provide compassionate, unconditional support using the best clinical approach to your needs. In my work, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care and Solution-Focused Therapy, as well as other approaches as needed. For those specifically desiring to integrate their faith into their counseling, I can also offer Christian counseling. I would be honored to work with you!

Mrs. Nuss is a fantastic counselor. She gives direct, concise responses to patient concerns. She acknowledges both the scientific and faith based approach to dealing with mental health issues. She is compassionate, respectful, and punctual in all her communication. An overall encouraging person.

Crystal is wonderful. I feel extremely lucky to have her. At first I didn't know how this would work but it turned out great. I respect her as a counselor. Makes you think about things you may not be aware of.

Crystal is so friendly and understanding. She listens to me and understands my concerns and goals and shares them. I find her so easy to talk with and relate to. I love that she allows God to work through her and that she emphasizes the importance of faith in our healing process.

I have enjoyed Crystal’s style so far. She seems knowledgeable, kind, and most importantly able to cater to my needs. I am looking forward to getting to know her more throughout the course of our sessions!
