The types of therapy I use are Solution Focused, Trauma Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, while always providing Unconditional Positive Regard throughout interactions with clients as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
In over 15 years, I have helped thousands of people as a counselor and a social worker. I attended the University of Tennessee for over 6 years, primarily studying social work at the graduate level, completing a Master's of Science degree and all but dissertation (abd) in the Social Work PhD (doctoral) program. I decided teaching and research are not my passion. I enjoy serving others and watching growth and change occur. I have also worked advising other therapists on clinical treatment needs at a community mental health center for over 3 years. I stand apart and I do not have preconceived notions about the individual I am serving, as no two people or two situations are alike.
Worksheets and references are provided to assist in the process of change, completed following sessions and to provide something real to refer to in your change process. Work is done within sessions, but the true tests are the thinking and practicing outside of our counseling sessions. I will be with you along the way, figuratively, in your heart and mind, but the true work can only be done by you.
I have worked extensively with people that have substance abuse struggles, parenting and relationship issues, and mental health difficulties (specifically trauma, bipolar, schizophrenia, anxiety and depression). I have worked with individuals, young and old, navigating concerns with their sexuality and gender identity. Please note that my first method of great service is to establish a totally judgment-free zone. I work to serve others and am here to serve your unique concerns and needs. You are seeking help for a reason, a change must be in order. Let's create a picture of what your ideal life would be and develop a plan together to journey to that place.

I have talked to many therapists in the last fifteen years and without a doubt Celeste has helped me the most. I appreciate her honesty, world view and overall demeanour. I lack the required linguistic skills to properly convey just how beneficial she has been for me.

Celeste is an excellent therapist with many years of experience. She not only listens but gives great advice as to how to address specific issues in your life. It's more than talk therapy!

I have been on the BetterHelp Platform for nearly a year now and Celeste was my second therapist on the application.
After initially finishing my sessions prematurely with my first therapist, I was skeptical of trying out another therapist but I am so so happy I did.
During the time I started therapy, I was suffering with a troubled past and going through some much like anxiety and negative core beliefs which I believe were irreparable
But Celeste was an excellent therapist and is tremendous at her role as a therapist. Through the sessions I did with her, i gained a new positive perspective on life
Firstly, Celeste is an excellent listener and listened with great intent to the information I shared about my life and was able to articulate all of the worries and beliefs I had into solvable solutions and offered amazing support to me
In addition to this, Celeste also gave me worksheets to do which helped me really understand myself more and really understand the negative behaviours I harboured on regular basis in my day to day life - these worksheets were extremely helpful
Throughout my time with her I could really see my self improving as a better person and having a better handle on my life (which I wouldn’t believe I could have done this a year ago)
Also the advice and amount of knowledge Celeste provided me was excellent.
Above everything else you can tell that she really cares and really wants you to do better in life. I cannot recommend her enough - she is an excellent therapist with a wealth of knowledge and in-depth expertise
Finally, I cannot say that I am a “fixed” or “perfect” person but what I can say is that I am way way better than what I once was and I know life will never go back to being as bad as it once was for me as Celeste has provided me with the skills and coping techniques and mechanisms to overcome this
Celeste - I can’t thank you enough for everything you have done for me and all the advice you have given me and I will always be grateful to you
