About me
My practice is guided by my desire to cultivate an environment where transformation can happen. Such a space requires trust, discretion, curiosity, and possibility. I work to help people engage more deeply in life, and to discover ways to reclaim their lives from the grip of problems. My orientation to therapy is narrative and collaborative. I have an abiding appreciation for clients as vital partners in the therapeutic process — not merely patients to be treated or problems to be fixed. I am most concerned with empowering people to take creative steps that align with their values and purposes.
Before beginning training as a therapist, I worked in non-profit and education settings. I have lived and worked both in the United States and abroad, and my experiences have profoundly shaped who I am and how I practice therapy today. I have completed a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree from Trevecca Nazarene University, and I am a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist in Tennessee.
