About Me

Welcome and kudos! It can be tough to reach out, but here you are doing it and that is a step to be proud of. Mental health and physical health are two sides of the same high value coin and whether it is dealing with significant trauma or the difficulties of daily life, we can all use a little help sometimes. My name is Aaron Oliver and I am an experienced therapist who is ready to meet you where you are — not where I (or anyone else) think you should be. If you choose to work with me, you can expect an environment that is calm, empathetic, and client-focused. While I generally practice person-centered counseling, I approach each client as a unique individual with unique needs and, as such, I use an eclectic and holistic approach to apply the therapeutic methods that are best suited to your particular challenges. What do you need to live your best life? That’s what we’re here to find out. I am LGBTQIA affirming, anti-racist, and engaged with clients from all walks of life. I am particularly experienced in helping clients deal with depression, addiction, anxiety, trauma, developing a self-concept, and overall wellness. My goal for you is empowerment, a sense of wellness within yourself, and progress over perfection. I look forward to meeting you and building a relationship built on trust, encouragement, and unconditional positive regard.

Aaron is a fantastic counselor. Talking to him is very easygoing. He doesn’t pressure you to speak with him. And if there’s anything you want to specifically talk bout or need help in then he’s there and has a multitude of ways to work with you on it.

Arron is a good person who understands me. He lets me talk, and saying things out loud helps one to understand their own issues better. He pays attention to the smallest of details and will call you out I. Them when needed.

He thoroughly endeavors to listen to me, to address my issues, worries, and concerns. He recommended books to help me learn more about myself outside of our therapy times and is always quick to answer when I message about concerns or problems outside of therapy time. I would suggest him to anyone who needs therapy! Best fit I have had with a therapist in several years!

Aaron is the best. He makes therapy feel like I'm just talking to a long time friend. Aaron has helped me so much working through issues in my personal life both with his help and on my own. Aaron has helped me make order out of chaos. I look forward to our weekly phone calls and video chats. Aaron is respectful, courteous, and professional. Aaron knows all the right times to talk and when to just listen. I would highly recommend Aaron to anyone!

Written by V.I. on Dec 03, 2021 after therapy with Aaron for 4 months on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, self esteem, career difficulties, coping with life changes, and compassion fatigue

Aaron has been a really positive impact in my life, and someone that my husband and family truly appreciate.I was able to gain the confidence to leave a toxic situation that no one could convince me was worth leaving. Words can’t describe how much better my life is after working with Aaron. I know that there are so many other people who have better lives because of him as well and it makes me really happy. His holistic approach is a breath of fresh air and breaks the mold of what I was taught therapy was. I didn’t know I was capable of being as happy as I am in my current life situation.
