I am a licensed clinical social worker in Nevada. Prior to completing my clinical hours, I was a licensed social worker in various positions, such as medical social work, the aging population, and children and families. I have great understanding how depression and anxiety shapes our lives into a negative minefield and the battle it takes to feel and become better. My clinical experiences encompasses depression and other mood disorders, anxiety and panic attacks, trauma work, pre and post operative weight loss surgery, including dealing with the shame of regain, grief and loss, relationship challenges, women's issues, and dealing with on-going life issues.
I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, which includes homework, dialectical behavioral therapy, EMDR, and solution focused modalities to help navigate the minefield. I believe therapy is most beneficial when the therapist and client have a therapeutic alliance and a shared goal of healing, growing, and blowing up the minefield together.

Abigail is amazing. She is easy to get along with and easy to talk to. She is great a listening and then summerizing your thoughts into themes, concepts, and issue topics. Often times, what you think is the issue is not really the issue and Abigail is great a digging deep. She doesn't interrupt you. She supports you unconditionally. I have never felt judged by her. This is huge in a therapist. She recognizes what works for you and implements it---for example, she knows I won't read things like articles and books b/c I am too busy. So she gives me an action item to try and implement during the week...something to try out for personal growth. She has helped me grow in a short period of time dealing with pregnancy loss, and health issues surrounding that loss. She is compassionate. Last, she is always on time to our sessions.
Abigail Anderson has been a great help to me, offering me suggestions on how to better my life, my relationship, and my mental health while going through a really hard time in my marriage. She makes me feel heard, validated and cared for.
