About me

Hello!

My name is Adam Moore and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California who has been working in the field of psychology since 2013. I have experience working in residential, schools, outpatient, and crisis settings as well as work in my own private practice with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, panic attacks, addiction, relationship issues, parenting problems, social concerns, life transitions, grief/loss, trauma, abuse, crisis situations, and general adjustment issues. I have diagnosed and helped clients work through most of the disorders listed in the DSM-5, with a constant pursuit for my own growth. To do this, I continuously read literature and research in the field, keep myself up to date with the ethical and legal guidelines, and attend conferences and trainings.

I utilize a person-centered approach with my clients by meeting them where they are in life with unconditional positive regard and a calm and easy going atmosphere. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Brief Solution-Focused Therapy to work through the many issues you may be experiencing. With an environment set up to be free of judgment and criticism, we can work together through whatever concerns and problems you have at a pace you're comfortable with. You could learn to change negative perceptions getting in your way to enjoy life, learn skills to help you navigate through the many problems that life throws at you, and process through past and current issues that have been causing stress in your life.

I know it can be hard for a lot of us to reach out for help and admire the courage and motivation that got you to this point so far. Through honest conversations we will work on resolving issues and collaborate on a treatment plans that will be tailored to your personal needs and experiences. Thank you for placing your trust in me. I am here for you and look forward to working together!

My time with Adam was my first introduction into therapy and Better Help. He was a great match to help me work through and process my breakup. He is straight forward and honest, yet gentle in his responses and really take the time to understand everything. Adam helped me take a giant step forward in healing and I am so grateful for his counseling.

Adam is incredible. I was hesitant when I was matched with a male as I have only ever had women therapists’ in the past but I could not have been matched with someone better for me. He truly gets where I’m coming from and focuses on getting to the root of things. I have only been working with him for a few weeks now and I could not be more thankful for the progress he has helped me with. He truly understands past trauma, family trauma and addresses it in the most comforting supportive yet direct way. 10/10 recommend ! Thanks Adam!
