About me

Hello and congratulations on seeking positive change!

I am glad you clicked on my profile and I hope we get to work together. I grew up all over the world due to my father's career in the military, however, I currently reside in Atlanta, Georgia. I am a licensed professional counselor with over 10 years of rich experience providing therapeutic care to children, adolescents, adults, and families in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I graduated with honors from my undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs, earning a BA in Psychology from Clark Atlanta University and an MA in Community Counseling from Argosy University as well as earning my Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at Northcentral University.

I specialize in working with individuals seeking coping strategies for life stressors, relationship issues, life transitions, life coaching, work-life balance, career counseling, anxiety, depression, dating, and self-esteem. Over the years, clients often tell me they appreciate my genuine warmth and acceptance while others enjoy my collaborative style.

My mission is to provide a non-judgmental and empowering space for us to work towards identifying and reaching your goals. My approach to therapy is integrative as I do not believe therapy is “one size fits all” therefore I am sensitive to balancing my expertise with your specific values, goals, and needs. Overall my goal is to turn your challenges into a plan of action that will create positive change in your life.

I generally respond within 24 hours, sometimes sooner! You can also book a live session with me ahead of time. Please remember that BetterHelp is not appropriate if you are in crisis or in immediate need of support. In crisis situations, please call 911 or local emergency services. You can also call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) to talk to someone right away.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Dr. Flowers is the best!

Dr. Flowers is fantastic! She is empathetic, and makes me reflect on what's actually going on, not just what conclusions I am jumping to. She is professional, caring and always has great advice. She helps me figure out things. I always feel better emotionally after our sessions and I really can't recommend her enough!

I've been working with Dr. Flowers for what seems like forever and she has always been a great support. She knows important aspects to follow-up with weekly and continues to challenge me in the best ways I need to continue my growth and development as an independent woman. She is amazing at picking up when I need to stop and reflect and provides me/pushes me to validate what I am experiencing. 10 stars out of 5!

Working with Dr. Flowers has been very helpful and healing. From our first session I felt like very comfortable talking to her about my past and what I want to work on. The space that she caries is comfortable and comforting. I feel like I am talking to a friend and that she often knows what I need before I even know. She has given me all sorts of tools that I use in my everyday life now. I couldn't have asked for a better therapist. Thank you Dr. Flowers for working with me!
