About me

Hello!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Psychotherapist and practice in North Carolina. My experience includes work with individuals, couples, families and children -- I meet every client "where they are" and work with them to move forward, heal and re-set, as needed. The client is guided through the therapy process with the sessions having a comfortable conversational style. My approach is to use vocabulary that is not clinical, as this allows the client to move forward with ease. My work is based on evidence-based theories and therapies.

I practice with a strengths-based approach to address problems/issues, such as: depression, anxiety, stress, communication, trust, coping with medical/chronic conditions, anticipatory grief and loss, need to re-set, family dynamics, parenting and relationships. It is very rewarding to observe clients find their strength/power as they work through what they have identified as "problems". Most clients report "feeling better" after a few sessions.

My background includes clinical work within three large health systems (Inova in Northern Virginia, Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC and Novant in Charlotte, North Carolina). In addition to a Master's of Social Work degree, I have a Master's in Education.

I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and work together!

Miss Adrienne was just the right fit for me! She has been very kind, quick to adapt, a careful listener, and showed much discernment/tact when speaking. She was patient in reading my lengthy messages and would respond in a timely fashion. It's been made evident to me throughout my time with her, that she truly had my best interest at heart - rather than my wallet. If I return to Betterhelp in the future, I look fwd to working with Miss Adrienne again!
