About me

Hi there. I'm Adrienne. I've been on the hunt for a good counselor too and it took a bit of time for me to find the right person. Once I did, it was a powerful journey towards more clarity, joy and overall wellness.

There is no magic bullet to feeling better. It takes attending to and nurturing ALL aspects of your health. Under the support and safety of the counseling relationship, we may explore any number of aspects of your life that are impacting your health, which may include relationships, physical health practices, and the patterns related to your thoughts and emotions.

You can expect me to be a direct, honest and supportive partner in your journey. You can expect to be held accountable for goals. You can expect to change but not because you need to be "fixed" but because you will shed the aspects of yourself that you are ready to let go of, including the expectations of others that are no longer serving you.

Professionally speaking, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Colorado and have been working in the field of mental health for over 15 years. I graduated with my PhD from the University of Florida and work from a mindfulness, strengths-based approach to counseling and use evidence-based practices to help clients move towards their wellness goals.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Adrienne Baggs. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

So far I've been seeing Dr. Baggs for almost a month. I can only say good things about my experiences. From my very first session, Dr. Baggs made me feel so comfortable with sharing what I've been going through and piling up. She's extremely supportive, validating, a good listener and I'm always surprised at how she's able to capture the exact feelings that I go through and help me substantialise and understand them better. Even though it's a short time, she has really helped med realise more about myself and provided me with tools to help deal with my anxiety.

After only 2 calls now with Adrienne I can confidently say she has made me feel so comfortable, I tried working with 2 counselors before and have felt much more at ease with her. She is joyful, patient, compassionate and has great actionable ideas.

I came to Dr. Baggs twice in the process of dealing with the psychological consequences of the devastating health condition that is ME-CFS. Let me start off by saying that I am not the easiest to counsel. I reflect a lot on myself and I do not take easily to anyone trivialising the nature of my emotional or psychological state. I had been through several counsellors none of whom gave me any reason to talk to them more than once. In contrast, my interactions with Dr. Baggs have left me very impressed. She has helped me through some very difficult fundamental problems which ranged from trauma, anxiety to grief and deep frustration. Her soft yet rigorous approach was always well balanced and her feedback, both in terms of timing, insight and pertinence left me perplexed (in the very good way) more than once. I only have positive things to say about Dr. Baggs. She has been excellent.

Happy with our regular communication and it helps to have someone reminding me of my goals and offering alternative approaches to thinking about issues. I find the message format convenient due to time zone differences and also my own limited time.

Dr. Baggs has helped keep me grounded and greatly assisted with my eating disorder and anxiety. She is a someone that definitely listens to what you specifically desire for help and does not force anything upon you. Great counselor.
