Professional Experience

Denise Doster has years of experience in crisis intervention, with clients encountering suicidal ideation and self-harming behaviors.  She assists clients with mental health challenges, substance abuse, and trauma-related issues. Her treatment approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. She is currently working with a broad spectrum of clients. Areas of focus include, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, BPD, substance abuse, trauma, suicidal ideation, life stress, and domestic violence. Denise desires to encourage, provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address life challenges and explore painful issues in a safe environment.

Education

Denise Doster is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with previous experience as a Clinical Director at Lifeskills Counseling & Consulting Group. She had been employed in a variety of clinical settings: mental health/substance abuse agencies, emergency rooms, a battered women's shelter, and the judicial system. These experiences have made her a well-rounded clinician.

With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths, attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing and empower them in their journey toward healing.
