Jon Jaehnig
Professional Experience
Jon Jaehnig has been a freelance writer since 2013. While most of his credited work has been in the field of technology, he takes every opportunity to write about his other favorite topics: health and philosophy. Psychology, Jaehnig would point out, blends all three of these fields.
Jaehnig has contributed to a number of projects over the years but is currently writing for ARPost and editing for SunSigns. He also writes for his local newspaper.
Jaehnig’s approach towards writing is that everyone has the right and responsibility to understand themselves and the world that they live in. In all of his projects, he strives to make his work both comprehensive and comprehensible.
Education Background
Jon Jaehnig has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Scientific and Technical Communication and a Minor in Journalism from Michigan Technological University.
His fields of study and research (other than writing) include Ethics, Philosophy, and human biology.
“My Philosophy on Mental Health and Wellness”
When it comes to mental health and wellness, Jon believes that people should approach mental health like they approach physical health. That means not being afraid to talk about or seek help for problems. It also means knowing the basics and knowing what things you can treat yourself and when it is time to talk to an expert.
Everyone should know how to check a temperature and make chicken noodle soup but they should also know when it’s time to see a doctor. Similarly, everyone should know how to recognize the signs of a panic attack and practice meditation but they should also know when it’s time to see a doctor.
