About me

I am licensed in North Carolina with 3 years of professional work experience. I studied at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where I earned a Bachelor's in Psychology in 2016 and then my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2020.

Most of my work experience comes from working with adolescence, adults and geriatric patients in an inpatient setting dealing with crisis stabilization. I have experience in helping clients with coping with addictions, family conflicts, anger management, & coping with life changes. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I love working with adolescent to help build their sense of self confidence. Often times teens struggle with self-esteem, body image, bullying, peer pressure or social anxiety. I am here to give you a sense of Belonging and Empowerment.

One of my favorite therapy modalities when working with adolescence is cognitive behavioral therapy. I love helping my clients learn how to identify and change the destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on their behavior and emotions. I help them develop skills such as boundaries, goal setting, appropriate self-expression, and emotional self-regulation. Techniques I love to use are role play, journaling and relaxation/stress reduction.

Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
