Alecia Ruffini
About me
Hello. My name is Alecia Ruffini, and I am a licensed professional clinical counselor (Kentucky) with over 10 years of behavioral health experience . I graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor's in education, and then received my Master's (a Specialist in Education, EdS, to be more specific) in community mental health counseling. Additionally, in recent years, I have obtained certification as a life coach. I have worked with clients across all age groups and with a wide variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, conflict, life changes, sexuality, and trauma.
My approach, like many, is client-centered; I also take on a solutions focused therapeutic approach, utilizing evidence based techniques from cognitive behavioral approaches to motivational interviewing techniques. You and your goals are at the center of your treatment; my hope is to provide you with a setting, a structure, and tools where healing and overall growth you desire can and will take place.
The importance of self-care can not be stated enough, and self-care includes care for your mental health. Therapy is an important tool to your self-care just as working out, eating health, listening to a great playlist or reading a good book are essential to self-care.
I look forward in talking with you as you care for yourself during this time.
