About me

I welcome all types of clients but I specialize in counseling people of color, those who are living with childhood trauma, professionals who are experiencing life transition anxiety, and also couples (premarital, marital. divorce, blending families, etc.). I aim to meet you where you are, and help to create a path of healing, clarity, and resolve.

I began my journey by working with battered women, abused and neglected children, and this propelled me into my healing work. My experience and interests lie in childhood trauma, couples issues, life transitions, and issues in spirituality. The residue of hurt, identity theft, unforgiveness, and resentment can snuff out our hopes of moving forward. Many of us are products of our environments and we affect other lives as we go after our goals. With every interaction it can produce fear or faith, doubt or understanding, hurt or healing, discouragement or resilience — we choose what we accept. I believe the foundation of any institution is family—who you connect to can define you. My interest in family dynamic issues spans from singleness, recently separated, premarital, infidelity, blended families, and familial hardships due to transition. Balance is required but you’ll carry yourself differently when the home is harmonious.

- My live session availability changes per the week. The majority of them are scheduled for the weekend in the evenings.
- I reply to ALL member texts within 24 hours and I make sure do it as efficiently as I can. I don't answer messages past 9:00PM CST
- Telephonic sessions are ideal for those who enjoy a conversational option. If you're a busy person, this is a great option.

Aleesha has been a blessing! She supports me, challenges me, and works to truly understand my relationships. She reviews my goals and summarizes each session which helps things feel continuous. I never thought I’d appreciate a therapist so much! Thank you, Aleesha.
