About me

My name is Alexander P. Brock, M.S., LPC. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing out of Oregon. I aspire to work with individuals in finding their most authentic self through self-exploration and identity work. I meet my clients where they are in the moment by providing empathy and understanding while also encouraging them to be the truest form of themselves with the inevitable highs and lows that life throws at us. I utilize various different therapeutic approaches to meet the goal of self-growth/evolution including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), existential therapy, and humanistic therapy.

Licensed with the Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists (#C5601); I hold a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in American Sign Language Studies and a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Rehabilitation Counseling - both completed at Western Oregon University.

Major coursework has included: Professional Counseling and Ethical Practice, Social and Cultural Foundations of Counseling, Counseling and Helping Relationships, Psychopharmacology, Human Growth and Development, Theory and Techniques of Counseling, Group Counseling and Group Work, and Diagnosis/Treatment Planning of Mental Disorders.

I utilize my 5+ years of training and set of specific therapeutic skills to treat the root of issues through humanistic therapy and drop the medical model that often forces clients to fit into a box vs. be seen as a human with a human experience.
