Hello! My name is Alexandra. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I have worked with a wide range of clients in a private practice setting as well as therpeutic and alternative schools, juvenile and adult detention facilities, as well as first responders and Vietnam, Desert Storm, and OIF/OND/OEF combat veterans . The clients I have worked with were addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, loneliness, low motivation levels, sleep disturbances, family issues, life transition difficulties, school and educational issues plus others. I utilize a combination of client centered therapy with cognitive behavioral therapy.
My approach is calm and laid-back but direct and sometimes even challenging when need be. One of my goals is to try and make therapy an empowering and comfortable experience for you, even if we are working on hard, difficult, and painful issues so that you can get maximum growth out of your therapeutic experience. My personal belief is that therapy is like dating sometimes; you might have to see a few therapists before you find the right one to work with.
I look forward to working with you and helping you grow, heal, and advance!

Great therapist! She is so incredibly kind balancing that with an ability to challenge your perceptions. She also has the education and experience to back up her advice.

Since working with Alex, I’ve been through so many transitions in my life. From getting married to moving out and dealing with in laws and parents and buying a home, all in less than 2 years. All the fun stuff. And the greatest part about all of this is being able to get some words of wisdom and encouragement from Alex. Getting into therapy for the first time ever, I’d say it was a huge two thumbs up! I didn’t know what to expect or what I wanted going into this, I just knew I had a lot of thoughts and feelings looming around that I was uncertain of. When I matched up with Alex, and had my first session I knew my match up with her was perfect. I have gained confidence in my thought process and have been better able to communicate with my wife about attention points in our marriage, and actually learn how to care about my mental health. The tools given by her really do put things in a better perspective. 11/10 highly recommended!! Thank you, Alex!

Kind yet straightforward. Validates when I call myself out and asks the right questions for me to get to that point on my own.

I honestly don’t know what I would do without Alex. As someone (myself) who’s gone through quite a lot so far in my young life she has been able to help me work through so much trauma and develop healthy coping mechanisms and find peace with myself. I highly recommend her to anyone. She’s someone you feel comfortable sharing most everything with, and you feel listened to and important. I believe everyone should have a therapist and why not it be Alex.

I've been working with Alexandra for about 2 months. I was hesitant at first with starting counseling just because of the things I have going on in my life currently. However, I realized that I needed to speak to someone regarding my issues. This is my first time alone in counseling. Alexandra has made each session super comfortable and she's made me realize I'm not crazy nor the problem. She's the only one whose been supportive. Thank you Alex
