About Me

Life can be hard! Everyone experiences tough times and emotions and finding someone to talk to about your concerns and struggles can make these difficult times easier to manage. Together we can work towards reaching your personal goals.

I am a Board Certified Art Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor. I have experience working with clients of all ages with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse, bipolar disorder, anger issues, and relationship struggles. My counseling style is relaxed and accepting yet solution-focused. My treatment approach is client-centered and I utilize mindfulness, relaxation skills, working on acceptance of what is out of our control, recognizing existing strengths to motivate change and growth, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) skills such as identifying triggers and challenging negative thoughts.

As an Art Therapist I use art in my counseling sessions in order to provide an alternate form of expression when emotions, thoughts, and experiences are too difficult to put into words. If you are willing to engage in art making I can encourage the use of art to assist in emotion expression, for insight, and to explore self-concept.

I look forward to listening, supporting, and working along with you!

Alexandra is great. She's there to listen and give great responses whether it's something I want to hear or not. She tells it to me like it is and I feel as though she has my best interest at heart.
