Alexandra Kiss, BACP
About me
I can help you to move forward (thinking of a specific problem), explore problems from a different angle together or work on different issues and traumas in a safe and non-judgmental environment. Also, sometimes life is really difficult and we can't decide who we can turn to and there's sometimes no one to trust. I can help you through these difficult feelings and situations, so you can better understand yourself, others and your life.
Counselling provides space to share and to be listened to; enables you to grow and find your best potential in a non-judgemental and empathic way. Therapy is tailored to your needs and wishes and we will work together to find the most appropriate model/approach for you. Please note, I work in an integrative way which includes person-centred therapy, Gestal therapy and transactional analyses.
I have experience in helping clients with various issues such as stress and anxiety, depression, coping with addictions, attachment issues, sadness, anger, loneliness, changes in life, family conflicts, & trauma and abuse.
I am a qualified counsellor (diploma level 4 in therapeutic integrative counselling) and I completed a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I have 3 years of experience in a clinical setting including counselling and working within a substance-misuse service. I am licensed in the UK as a Counsellor and as I'm practicing and insured in the UK my practice is governed by the English and Welsh law.
I am currently completing my MSc course in Health Psychology.
I am fully insured, DBS checked and a registered member of a professional body (BACP - British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
*Please note, during the weekend answering messages is limited. I will answer any messages in a timely manner including weekdays.
*For booking sessions, please see my calendar. I offer evening sessions during the week (except on Tuesday) and several day time sessions on Saturday and Monday.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Alexandra Kiss. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Dr. Kiss is a formidable therapist. For the past several months her skillful expertise has helped me unpack my emotions and guide me through a couple of months of intense family relationships. I am so very happy that I "stumbled" upon the betterhelp app (through one of my favorite podcasts) and that I was "matched' with Dr. Kiss! Thank you so much. I am so grateful and shall definitely recommend both the app and Dr. Kiss to friends and family.

I really enjoy working with Alexandra, and I feel very calm & comfortable from her demeanour. She asks questions that make me reflect and come to realisations that I wouldn't have without her. She has been very helpful, listening, and a great support to me in a period when I really needed a therapist on the sideline.

We are just a few weeks in and with my issues I think we have a while to go yet but my initial hesitation has completely gone and I look forward to our sessions. Alexandra is a good fit for me, she is empathetic, kindly but professional, and responds to me in a very timely manner too so I have been able to relax into the process.
