About me

My name is Alexandra, but you can call me Alex for short. I am so excited to be working on this platform, reaching clients all over the state of Maine. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 10 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families.

Prior to working in Maine, I was licensed in New York State, where I had the opportunity to work as a Multi-Systemic Therapist (MST) in all boroughs of NYC. In this position, I helped reunite families through teaching problem solving and effective communication. Also, while in New York, I worked at a private practice for several years where I counseled adults, couples, and families.

I have experience treating Anxiety, Depression, PTSD/Trauma, Parenting Issues, Family Issues, ADHD, Gender Dysphoria, LGBTQ+ Issues, Couples Issues, Anger Management and Life Transitions. I truly believe that everyone can reach their highest potentials, and I enjoy watching people learn to access that in themselves. I recognize that coming to therapy is a huge leap for a lot of people, so I am sensitive to where people are in their unique journeys.

Since moving to Maine, I worked at Sweetser as a School and Community Based Clinician, counseling children and teens at school. I also met with my clients in their home environments and collaborated with their parents and guardians.

Some qualities that I like to bring to my sessions are patience, trust, humor, compassion, creativity, and mindfulness. I look forward to connecting with you!
