I’ve been talking with A. Carter for over a year now and he has helped guide me through every facet of my life (family, work, relationships, self-esteem, and many more). With his insightful guidance, I have grown so much as a person and I’m so very proud of the issues I have overcome after years of unsuccessfully trying to “fake it til I make it”. He has helped me uncover childhood trauma and recognize how the past has influenced my present life. I have grown so much and have uncovered so many things from my past which have been affecting my relationships and how I interact with people. It hasn’t been an easy journey and even when I feel like we have nothing pressing to talk about, we somehow can peel back another layer and I am forced to face unresolved feelings and influences. He is so easy to talk to and has an excellent ability to ask questions and share his insights while leading me to the answers that were seemingly right in front of my face. I’m so grateful and lucky to have found A. Carter who has impacted my life in so many positive ways. I’m glad I finally decided to invest in my mental health and tried different therapists until I found a good match. I used to believe that therapy wasn’t for me. However, I now know that finding a therapist who you connect with can be a challenge, but once you find the right person, that is when you can start to heal and grow. If you don’t feel like you are accomplishing your therapy goals, it might be time to try a different type of therapy or even a different therapist. There is no one size fits all and there may be some bumps in the road, but finding that connection with the right therapist can make all the difference. Thank you BetterHelp and A. Carter!! ❤️

Mr. Carter is professional, attentive, open , and respectful. He takes the time to listen and doesn’t impose his views or thought he allowed me to find my way and kept me from veering off my set path.. Truly a light,

My favourite thing about Alfred is his tendency to counsel in a way that is less him telling you how to fix the problem and more him encouraging you to listen to your gut, find the root cause for the issues and become more comfortable depending on yourself. He offers insightful guidance and is attentive and thoughtful, but he really encourages you to develop your own insights.

I have signed up for my second round of sessions with Alfred after my first round went well. Alfred was understanding, supportive and effective in our time working together. I trust in him and his ability to help me manage my mental health which is invaluable. It’s great to have the confidence in this second round of sessions with Alfred. I know I will be in a better place once they’re completed with Alfreds help and guidance.

When I first was looking around at where I could do online counselling I came across BetterHelp. I did a short serve that allowed them to connect me with somebody most qualified for my specific needs. Alfred has been full of insight and questions that helped me begin to process my own emotions on my own two feet. I’m grateful for all he has allowed me to share and all the progress he has granted me. I am now in a better position to push through the obstacles of life with full force.

Renard is great. Soft. Listens. Understands your goals. Takes the time to learn about you. Helps you find the wisdom already inside you

Alfred is a good guy, responsive and understanding. He listens and helps with perspective. He really helps focus on the positive without negating the challenge we are currently dealing with.

Alfred Carter has already given me tangible tools and observations in our two sessions together so far. I feel like he is a balance of both listening, while actively asking questions and giving tools to use. I wanted a councilor to challenge me, and to give perspective I didn’t have and not only listen to me venting. Alfred Carter is the type of councilor I was looking for and look forward to what progress I can make.
