I am a licensed clinical marriage and family therapist licensed in Kansas with over 15 years of combined experience working as a psychocounselor, career coach, and disability management specialist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, life changes, career challenges, women's issues, as well as disability-related workplace barriers. I also helped many people who have experienced prejudice, discrimination, and oppression.
My counseling style is client-centered yet directive, warm, and interactive. I also think it's important for you to experience sensitivity and compassion during a therapy session without stigmatizing labels. We will also make an action plan together that you can use daily to reach your therapy goals. As such, my therapy approach combines cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, as well as narrative and dialectical therapy methods to get the results you are looking for. We will work together to customize your treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
When you make a decision to create new patterns in your life, it often gets harder before it gets better to break those patterns. It takes courage to make steps towards intentional change and personal growth to lead a happier more fulfilled life. When you are ready to take that step, I am here to support you and give you the tools you need to experience the changes you are seeking in your life.
I look forward to working with you and building a plan together.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Aliah Mestrovich Seay. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
After a little more than a year of working with Aliah, I have finally decided to terminate my counseling services- an incredibly daunting task that will hopefully test my successes of personal growth. I feel confident for the first time in my life. I feel capable, strong and self-assured that I will be able to manage the curve balls life has in store for us. Aliah is by far, the most genuine, proactive, compassionate, and knowledgeable therapist this platform has to offer. She was able to guide me when I wasn't able to see my path at all. She supported me, laughed with me, cried with me, and taught me countless valuable lessons. The only test left for me now, is continuing on my growth journey without her. However, I know that she will always be able to help me in the future should I ever reach out needing guidance. Thank you Aliah for your incredible dedication to your clients.

Aliah is amazing. She really listens to me and understands where I'm coming from. She has also challenged me in some really positive ways. I am so thankful that I have a counselor that is so caring and knowledgeable.

Aliah is one of the most kind and compassionate counselors that I’ve ever had. She always knows exactly what to say, and when to say it. She doesn’t pressure me for information and she makes it clear that things will go at my pace and she makes the whole “opening up” part of therapy very easy to do.

Aliah is super helpful and proactive, dividing time between discussing issues and getting to the root of the problem and then finding tangible practical ways to reframe, accommodate and accept and/or move forward. I like to have goals to work towards and I really like how she remains encouraging and compassionate when I have setbacks.
