About me

Hello! My name is Alicia Capobianco, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in New York. I have been working in a clinical capacity with individuals, children, and families throughout the course of my career. I obtained my Master of Social Work degree from New York University Silver School of Social Work. I have experience working with clients of all ages and helping them to meet their clinical goals while providing them with the necessary tools to support their growth. My practice is founded on Evidence Based Interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also utilize a trauma informed lens to apply a different way of interpreting past experiences. I strongly believe that everyone who seeks therapy should be in control of their treatment, I work collaboratively with my clients to meet them where they are at and provide an individualized approach. Seeking out therapy is not something that is easy to do, and for some it can be a frightening and challenging time. I strive to create a comfortable and nurturing environment to help with navigating this time of self reflection and growth.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Alicia Capobianco . We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Alicia is very responsive to patients on the platform. During sessions she is a good listener. Although everything is online, you’ll feel like you really know her as if you were seeing her in person, which allows you to develop a stronger relationship over time. I would recommend Alicia to anyone seeking a therapist, especially if it is your first time doing online therapy as she will make sessions feel less isolating.

Alicia is phenomenal. She is a great listener and recommends the best strategies to deal with whatever I am going through. I feel very at ease speaking to Alicia; as though she is my friend but am extremely knowledgeable professional at the same time. I highly recommend Alicia!

Alicia is really supportive and understanding, it helps that she also knows how to handle even the most sensitive of cases and that kind of attitude will help the patient understand anything.

I enjoy speaking with her, she makes counseling feel professional and friendly. It’s a good balance between the two. She gives me a lot of perspective of things I wouldn’t have though myself, and gives good options on how to manage myself.
