I’ve been working with Alicia for a few years now and she’s always incredibly respectful and addresses each concern no matter how big or small. My relationship with my family has greatly improved thanks to my communication with Alicia.

Alicia is great! She responds with an understanding and ability to relate to situations. I always feel validated and heard, even when she is offering a better way to do/react than I may otherwise be open to. I would highly recommend Alicia to others as a counselor.

Alicia is the best therapist I've had in a decade. She is thorough, thoughtful, and gets it. One of the most challenging things in a relationship is finding someone that you click with that is on the same wavelength as you, and she is totally on it and I feel very understood and don't feel myself needing to explain my explanations/feelings or put things into more context. She just gets it if that makes sense, and provides very good advice and thoughts. Very happy to have found her!

I changed my counselor twice before I came across Alicia. It has only been about a week that we've been working together so we haven't really had the time to get really thorough but so far I am really enjoying working with Alicia. She has a personality that you can feel through the computer and it almost feels like I'm emailing or chatting with a friend (who is experienced in counseling). She hasn't ignored anything that I've said, in fact, she addresses almost every single thing I say, and trust me.. I say A LOT! I am really looking forward to continuing working with her as it has been really great thus far.

Always kind and gives me a bit more confidence in myself to handle the challenges as they come. :)

Alicia makes counselling such a great experience. Her language, tone, understanding, and knowledge makes the situation feel like you're talking to an older sister with great advice you know you can trust!

I have been in counseling with Alicia prior and that really challenged the person I was and need to be. I was in for about a year and did much improving internally. So I returned a few weeks ago, and its been immediately beneficial.

Alicia has been so helpful over the past few months, and her guidance and support got me through a really difficult time. She's very warm, friendly, and offers excellent analysis and advice --- even on personal issues you may have thought you'd figured out yourself years ago! I couldn't recommend her more.

Alicia is fantastic. She responds quickly and professionally. Most of my problems have something to do with anxiety and she has provided a hugely helpful resource for me to not only vent my concerns but advise on how to better manage them. I plan to continue our working relationship for many more months.

She's the most perfect counselor, non judgmental, perfectly worded advice, an absolute godsend. She's helped me beyond belief. Please spend money to help your mental state, it makes a BIG difference and what she has done for me is beyond words at this point.

Written by O.S on May 14, 2016 after counseling with Alicia for 1 month on issues concerning stress, anxiety, relationship, and depression

I first came to Alicia Hughes after I experienced a devastating breakup. She helped me make sense of many of the things my ex did and said. Alicia helped me navigate through how to talk to her, advised me to start spending time with her again, and figure out how to approach things.

While it ultimately didn't work out with that ex, Alicia reassured me that I did the best I could and brought back the confidence in me to move on and do greater things. We got along really well throughout. I appreciated her kind words, and she provided simple, deep explanations for complicated situations.

I was initially skeptical of BetterHelp, but it's people like Alicia Hughes that will make you feel like you're talking to someone who actually cares, and not a random stranger. I would definitely recommend her!

Alicia is absolutely amazing! She has given me so many tools to help me through my problems and the hard stuff I'm dealing with. At first I was nervous, but she has made me feel completely 100% comfortable sharing with her!!

Written by C.A on Apr 03, 2016 after counseling with Alicia for 3 months on issues concerning stress, anxiety, self esteem, and depression

I find Alicia very easy to talk to. She very quickly found things we have in common, so it's almost like chatting to a friend, albeit one who can make sense of the tangled thoughts in my head!

Written by K.E on Mar 17, 2016 after counseling with Alicia for 3 weeks on issues concerning stress, anxiety, relationship, family, trauma and abuse, grief, eating, bipolar, and depression

Although I have only been with Alicia for a few weeks, I have found her to be extremely helpful and available. Working through problems is never an easy task and Alicia makes that process so much more bearable.
