About Me
I am licensed clinical social worker who has worked in a variety of mental health settings for the past 15 years, and am currently licensed in Kansas, Missouri, Texas, and Wisconsin. While I have been trained to use a multitude of treatment approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness, I believe that one of the most important tools is the relationship between the client and therapist. My approach to therapy is to meet individuals where they are and help guide them in meeting their goals.
Everyone experiences life stressors and at times, can become overwhelmed by them. I will work with you to help you navigate through the obstacles you are facing and hopefully overcome them. Whether you struggle with anxiety or depression, a particular life transition, or a more serious mental health condition, therapy can be beneficial for you. Let's work together to help you live your best life! My style tends to be more relaxed, although I can taper sessions to be more structured depending on the need. I enjoy working with youth and adults, and am also experienced in providing couples counseling.
I look forward to meeting you.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Alicia Kovac. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to speak with Alicia!
She listens, hears and evaluates my concerns and goals and makes recommendations for ways to help by using different sources (groupinars, worksheets, exercises, etc). She tries to get me to think how I can help myself.
Working with Alicia the past year has truly helped me to restart my life. Her gentle guidance and constant support is beautiful. She made sure that I had access to information and tools to begin the healing journey from a history of abuse, neglect, and just all around sadness. I’m entering a new stage in life where I can trust myself to love and take care of myself. What a wonderful feeling. Thank you, Alicia.
Alicia has been extremely helpful and understanding of my personal struggles. She gives me great resources to aide in my therapy and uses the worksheets and journal entries I do effectively in our treatment plan for me.
Very kind and extremely helpful and encouraging
