About me

My name is Alicia and I am a bilingual (Spanish) Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a wide range of experience. I have experience working with a diverse clientele which include prenatal to age four, dual diagnosed individuals, children, active-duty military and veterans (including their families), and adults with mild to severe psychiatric illnesses.

I received my Master of Social Work from Boston University with a focus on Clinical Social Work. My specialties include working with substance use disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, and stress. I am trained and certified in Prolonged Exposure Therapy to help treat PTSD. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, CBT-Pain Certification, Brief Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, and traditional talk therapy.

I am first-generation American, and my family migrated from the Dominican Republic. I have a strong belief in everyone receiving a fair shake at life and a passion to help others overcome adverse experiences.
