About Me

Hi! I'm Alicia. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in both Alabama and Georgia. I also am a Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider. I have worked with all populations and believe that the key to therapy with any person is respect. I aim to help clients work through their problems to have a more enjoyable life. I use an integrative therapy approach incorporating person centered therapy techniques (focuses on building strong rapport and respect between client and therapist) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in order to assist clients in making their thinking more positive and decrease negative thinking habits. I also incorporate narrative therapy in order to assist clients processing significant trauma. I truly believe that respect and trust are the foundation of good therapy. I am here to listen to you - about whatever you are going through without judgment. Think of it as a place you can finally take your filter off and not have to worry about what you say. I'm looking forward to working with you! www.pearlbhs.com

Alicia seems to genuinely care, sometimes she messages me first to check in if I haven't been replying.

Alicia is the best of all time. Period. The end. You’d be lucky to have her as your counselor! She goes above and beyond, builds solid relationships that are professional with her clients, and gets work done. I’ve seen other counselors and they’ve got nothing on Alicia.

Alicia is phenomenal. I really struggle to find someone that I connect with, and even had that issue with my first better help counselor, but I connected with Alicia immediately and am so glad that I did. She listens to me and structures therapy around me and my wants/needs instead of following a strict method that she prefers, like a lot of therapists do. I feel comfortable and at ease when talking to Alicia and I never feel judged or misunderstood.
