About Me

Hi! I'm Alicia. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in both Alabama and Georgia. I am also a Board Certified TeleMental Health Provider. I have worked with all populations and believe that the key to therapy with any person is respect. I aim to help clients work through their problems to have a more enjoyable life. I use an integrative therapy approach incorporating person centered therapy techniques (focuses on building strong rapport and respect between client and therapist) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in order to assist clients in making their thinking more positive and decrease negative thinking habits. I also incorporate narrative therapy in order to assist clients processing significant trauma. I truly believe that respect and trust are the foundation of good therapy. I am here to listen to you - about whatever you are going through without judgment. Think of it as a place you can finally take your filter off and not have to worry about what you say. I'm looking forward to working with you! www.pearlbhs.com

She's my only cheerleader most days, and I'm so much more confident with someone who is for my best interest.

Alicia is empathetic while remaining objective. She is responsive, an active participant in healing, and always cares. She adjusts her approach appropriately, depending on the issue being tackled. She lets you set the pace, which has been very important to me. Overall, I think she's awesome and I would highly recommend to anyone.

I’ve been Alicia’s client for a year and she’s seriously the best of all. Trust me, you should pick her.

Alicia has truly changed my life. It was a tough road to find a therapist and finding Alicia was a godsend. She has helped me process so much trauma and anxiety without me even realizing how much progress I was making. Alicia listens and makes me feel seen by someone for the first time in a really long time. I genuinely look forward to our sessions every week and would not be in the place I am right now emotionally if it weren’t for her. She truly goes above and beyond and I really can’t express what she has done for me. I no longer have to hide from myself. I can be honest with her and with myself and process the things I’m feeling without being embarrassed or trying to hide. I truly can’t say enough good things. She changes my life for the better on a weekly basis.

Alicia has been wonderful to talk with. I feel very comfortable discussing my most personal issues with her. I feel that she is helping even from the get-go. I look forward to continuing my therapy with her.

She is smart, caring, and understanding. If you have a problem you need help with or life situations that are challenging, Alicia can help you to pinpoint what the problem areas are and give realistic advice and counsel on how to solve them or at least understand them better. She is more than I could have hoped for in a counselor and I am fortunate to have been paired with her.

Alicia seems to genuinely care, sometimes she messages me first to check in if I haven't been replying.
