Alison is a great therapist. Down to earth, extremely tolerant and understanding. Furthermore she's an expert by experience as well, which to me is invaluable. I need to see someone I can joke around with but who also understands the struggle of living with a bipolar, ADHD and traumatized brain every day. Alison is one of the most versatile therapists I have ever met and the best part is that she treats me like an equal. I feel I'm in good hands.

I am a person who has in the past, went to therapy but my experiences were not that kind. When I got Betterhelp I didn’t know how it would go but I can say with full confidence that I have gained a new way of thinking. I appreciate the openness and willingness of her style when it comes to listening. Sometimes you need someone just to be able to listen to you without judgment. I believe that that is the case when it comes to her. I did not feel forced nor uncomfortable when speaking with her even when I took a long time to respond and that really helped.
10 out of 10 I would recommend if you would like to have an open and kind hearted human to share your experiences with.

I’ve been working with Alison for a few months now. She has taught me so much about mindfulness meditation, healing of trauma, and gives great recommendations for self-help books to read. I feel heard and seen during our sessions and she is wonderful with positive affirmations. I’m forever grateful for her help in getting a new perspective and understanding on my thoughts and feelings.

This woman knows what she is doing. She understands because she has been through it. A loving individual that is strong and will help us be strong and become a better version of ourselves. She allows us to vent and helps us with new ways of dealing with our stress and depression.

This is my first time in therapy and I couldn't have asked for a better "first-time" therapist than Alison. In our hour-long sessions, I quickly go from feeling alone to feeling understood and heard. She always feels proud of what I've accomplished to better myself and radiates this sense of a "you got this" attitude when we're finishing up. She uses her own life experiences to help me better understand my current issues and she makes me feel like I'm not alone; that I'm not the only one that feels this way. She makes me feel like someone, who has never met me in person before, actually cares about me and I appreciate Alison so much for that.

Even though I've only had a few sessions, I am feeling heard, understood and validated in my feelings. She provides a safe space for me to vent out my thoughts and frustrations, and is encouraging me to take care of myself and put my needs first. I don't know how BetterHelp did it, but I think they paired me with exactly who I needed during my time of need.

I've been seeing Alison for several months and she is an excellent fit for me. She is easy to talk to, gives helpful insight and strategies, and pushes me when I need it. She brings positive energy to dark days, and has helped see me through a very difficult time in my life. Alison has helped me processes trauma that I have been ignoring for many years with empathy, validation and suggested steps towards healing. Alison has been a huge part of my mental health team and I would highly reccommend her.

Alison truly takes the time to get to know her clients and their backgrounds. Even if she herself may not be able to your background (cultural, contextual, etc) she is always willing to go the extra mile to learn more and uses that newfound insight to better help her clients.
