About Me

Welcome! Thank you for looking at my profile.

I received my master's degree in 2012 from Naropa University, and have been supporting clients through managing life's challenges since then. One of the core tenants practiced at Naropa continues to be foundational to my counseling approach: that we, as individuals, have a natural tendency toward health and healing. My role, as I see it, is to provide a safe, compassionate, and nurturing environment that supports you in accessing your own inner wisdom to heal, manage, accept, and move through difficult life experiences. I use an eclectic approach, tailored to meet your specific needs.

When we’re hurting or just going through a difficult time, so often we feel alone in our experiences. Stress, depression and anxiety can narrow our perspectives and make us feel viscerally disconnected from our loved ones and ourselves. In those moments, it can be hard to access our own sense of worth. I welcome all of my clients with unconditional acceptance, wherever they are at in their lives and however they are feeling. My practice is founded in the understanding that, as human beings, we are relational creatures, and healing more readily occurs when we have other people to empathize with us, witness us in our pain and growth, point out our strengths, and help us shift perspective to experience a sense of well-being.

I strive to foster an atmosphere of safety, openness, trust, and compassion in order to understand your unique experiences. I incorporate mindfulness, guided meditations, trauma-informed therapies, EMDR, art therapy, and interpersonal therapy. Through these modalities, I help you identify, challenge, and change learned belief systems related to difficult life experiences. I strongly believes that with a calm and regulated nervous system, we can attune to our own needs, deepen our understanding of ourselves, and address life’s challenges from a place of strength and groundedness.

I look forward to working with you!
