About me

Welcome! I admire the courage that it took to seek out support for whatever challenges you are currently experiencing in your life.

My name is Allison Brown and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with over 7 years of experience. While most of my work has been in private practice I have had the opportunity to work in a wide range of settings including an inpatient psychiatric hospital, day programs, and intensive outpatient programs. My passion is working with people who are experiencing life weariness, anxiety, depression, challenges with adjusting to changes in life, trauma, and relationship challenges.

I am trained in several forms of therapy including CBT and DBT that help individuals develop coping skills to better handle situations where they experience strong emotions as well as helping them learn how to challenge the thoughts that they experience which cause them distress. I am a registered play therapist and have a lot of experience in working with parents helping them support their children. I believe that the connection that we have is the most important thing that will lead to change.

I am looking forward to the opportunity to walk alongside you as you go through this journey.

Allison is someone who helps validate you, helps you feel heard, and tried to get to the root of what it is you want to be working on. She does amazing with helping make things clear the don't feel like they make sense as a source of stability and consistency.

The time that I’ve spent with Allison has been extremely rewarding and beneficial. She’s always so kind and patients; offering great insight and feedback. I’ve felt comfortable discussing so many things about myself and my anxiety that I never thought I could share. She’s the first counselor I’ve ever spoken with and even in the short amount of time we’ve been speaking, I already feel improvement within myself and my daily thought process. I would absolutely recommend Allison to someone seeking counseling.
