I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of NJ with 8 years of practice working with individuals and families. Because of my position as a family therapist, I have been able to experience a great number of different roles. Working in all of Northern NJ, I've met with people from rural areas, urban areas, and everything in-between. I conducted individual sessions as well as group and family therapy sessions with children, adolescents, and adults. Due to the dynamic nature of families, I have addressed many clinical issues including mental health, family violence, addiction, relationships, school and/or job stressors, domestic abuse, legal trouble, child rearing (from infancy to adulthood), and trauma.
I believe that there is hope for everyone who seeks counseling because it means you have already taken the first step towards change! My counseling style combines mindfulness, strength-based, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I am empathetic as well as direct and I feel that my compassionate and supportive approach to therapy allows clients to quickly open up and create a strong therapeutic alliance. I also think it is important to be flexible in my approach so that I can recognize what is most helpful to each client.
Once I have developed trust and rapport, I focus on collaboratively making realistic goals and meeting the client where they are at which helps create a clear path for progress. Identifying strengths and existing coping skills creates a strong foundation to move forward from. I think it's important to focus on successes just as much as struggles during therapy and I am willing to be there for clients through both.
I can provide concrete tasks, offer educational materials, help you advocate for yourself, or just be an open and active listener. Whatever you need to succeed!
- Stress, Anxiety
- Family conflicts
- Trauma and abuse
I also have experience in Addictions, LGBT, Relationship issues, Grief, Intimacy-related issues, Eating disorders, Parenting issues, Anger management, Self esteem, Career difficulties, Bipolar disorder

Wow, I don't know where to start! Allison has been BEYOND amazing for me. She has helped me to see a lot of my potential and has guided me through figuring out how to work through my problems. She is great at giving me little tidbits that just STICK with me. I find myself quoting and repeating them daily. Allison is helping me to get through the toughest chapter of my life so far and I am SO lucky I was matched with her! I have been in therapy most of my life and Allison is, hands-down, my FAVORITE therapist that I've ever had.
She’s very sweet and a great listener! She is so supportive!

Allison is a great, sympathetic counselor. I would recommend her to anyone. She really listens to you and tries to see what your needs are. She offers practical solutions and exercises to problems, be they social, psychological, etc. She is there when you need to vent and she is responsive and respectful. I have greatly enjoyed working with Allison.
If you're looking for a helping hand, look no further. Allison is hands down awesome and gives you a sense of inner peace.
