About Me

Hello. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 10 years of experience working with individuals and families. I have spent most of my career working in community mental health providing intensive outpatient therapy to adults with acute mental health and substance abuse issues. I have also enjoyed working with children and families in-home and with both active and retired military personnel. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, bipolar, PTSD, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and complex trauma. I also have experience working with sexual assault, childhood trauma and emotional abuse. My counseling style is warm and direct. I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques with an emphasis on Solution Focused, Psycho-dynamic, Cognitive, and Dialectic therapies, as well as Motivational Interviewing. I believe that if an individual is able to see things more clearly and accurately, they can begin to identify road blocks in their thinking and ultimately change the way they feel. I will tailor our discussions and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.I look forward to working with you!

I can not express how grateful that I am to have been able to work with Allyce. She guided me on my counseling journey and made my healing possible. She would get stuff out of me that I didn't even realize that I was struggling with. What a compassionate person with the gift of helping others. Would recommend Allyce to anyone! 10/10!

Allyce, really takes the time to focus on what you want to focus on. If you don't know what that is, she helps with very well thought out questions. She is very calm and caring. I always feel better after a session.

I’ve been speaking to Allyce for a few weeks now and I enjoy her warm approach. She cares and checks in regularly and encourages me to keep writing in my journals which she reads each day. I feel that she is helpful and I enjoy my sessions with her.

Allyce is compassionate, patient and caring. I truly appreciate her flexibility in scheduling around my work schedule which takes a great deal of pressure off of me during the week. She is kind and understanding and has been checking in with me during the week to see how I am doing. Just knowing she is there is a big source of comfort while I go through this difficult period.

I’ve just started with Allyce but she seems like she is starting to get to the root of my problems. I feel comfortable talking to her.

She's the perfect counselor. Allyce knows how to read a room and guide you through the process. I didn't think it was possible to feel this comfortable yet challenged after every session.
