Alyssa Pickett, LCSW
About me
Hi!
Welcome to my page – I am glad that you are here! My name is Alyssa and I am a licensed therapist in Arkansas with over 11 years of clinical experience.
“The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of all” – Mulan. I wholeheartedly believe that everyone deserves to be given a chance in life, to have someone see them as a living person, not just another face --- That is my goal for everyone I serve, young or old, regardless of the circumstances currently being faced or adverse experiences in the past.
I am passionate about working with adolescents and adults facing life adjustments, changes, and transitions. I have worked with clients experiencing a wide range of concerns that include depression, difficulties with motivation, self-esteem, confidence, anxiety/stress, problems within interpersonal relationships, and post-traumatic stress.
My therapy style is warm and interactive. I want you to get the most out of the time that we spend together and approach each session as that being “YOUR time.” My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, motivational interviewing, solution-focused techniques, and attachment theory.
Throughout this process, I will be your biggest cheerleader. It takes an undeniable amount of courage to take this step and I view the opportunity to be a part of your journey as a privilege. No matter the reason(s) bringing you here today, YOU MATTER and your feelings are valid.
I look forward to working with you!
