Hello. I am a certified rehabilitation counselor and a licensed mental health counselor. I have been in the field for six years. I have worked in various settings including: out-patient, in-patient chemical dependency and in-patient mental health, day treatment programs and the emergency department. I have worked with a wide variety of individuals struggling with trauma, chemical dependency, mood and anxiety disorders, autism, ADHD, schizophrenia, relationship and family issues, gender identity, career and education, and others.
My counseling style is warm and empathetic. I enjoy a collaborative relationship between counselor and client. You are, after all, your own best resource. I am merely here to help you tap into some skills that will help you along in your journey. I use a multi-mode approach to counseling and borrow from the following: dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, and music. I really enjoy teaching coping skills such as breathing techniques and progressive muscle relaxation. I like to practice them along with you so that you can truly understand them and utilize the skills on your own.
Asking for help can feel overwhelming. Validate yourself for taking this important first step to changing your life. I look forward to working with you!

Amanda is the best. I look forward to seeing her every single week.
Andrea is funny and kind and clearly cares about her clients.
I adore Amanda. She’s so supportive, understanding, and empathetic. I can’t say enough good things about her. It’s made a world of difference knowing that I have someone who I can trust who respects me and understands my needs and goals.
Amanda is compassionate, kind, and knowledgeable. She listens attentively and offers helpful insights. I feel very comfortable sharing any thoughts or feelings with her without fear of judgement. I would imagine that being a fantastic therapist, she must be busy with many clients, but she's always willing to work with scheduling, which is a big plus as well. Amanda is wonderful!
Amanda continues to amaze me with her support and wisdom. A session with her brightens my week and puts my head back on track.
Amanda is great: responsive, empathetic, insightful.

So far Amanda has lead me on a path I need to go on. Excited to see where leads.
Amanda is supportive, and a good listener helping me with my goals
Working with Amanda has been inspiring and motivating. She adjusts to my needs and respects me, despite the chaos in my life. I feel safe to talk to her about anything.
Amanda is patient and understanding. She puts me at ease and is great to talk to. She helps me to recognize and understand my feelings and is helping me to cope and move forward. I highly recommend her.
I don't know Amanda very well yet. We have only had two sessions and minimal writing back and forth but so far she is everything I expected and I am grateful for her.
Amanda is wonderful! She makes you feel like you are talking to a good friend. She always checks in with you. I can’t say enough how she has helped me so far in a short time. I am truly lucky to have her as my counselor.
I've only met with Amanda once, but she was a very good listener. She was also helpful with the advice she gave me. Hopefully, the therapy will continue to get better. I like her!
Amanda has been an incredibly guide support in my life. She always checks in and she really does provide the support I need during my good and bad weeks.
Amanda has been a wonderful counselor. I'm a musician and I really enjoy that Amanda is a musician as well. She understands where I'm coming from and gives me great tools to work with.
Amanda is amazing. She really cares about how I'm doing and remembers some of the most minor details I tell her. Even if we don't an appointment she will randomly check in with me to see how I am doing. I'm extremely grateful to have Amanda as a counselor.
We have only been working together a short while, but after our first session it was extremely clear to me what a supportive queen Amanda is. She’s knowledgeable and so easy to talk to, I can’t say enough good things about her. I’m so glad to be working with her.
Amanda is a genuine and kind hearted person. This was my first time speaking to any kind of therapist and although I was nervous, Amanda really took the time to listen to me and help me with my depression/anxiety. Her breathing exercises and other helpful tip sheets have helped me so much in such a short period of time and I am so grateful to have been matched to such a thoughtful and caring counselor. She is the best!
She always understands where I am coming from, even when I do not explain things well. She’s very helpful with resources and links for information. She is always prompt with her replies and makes me feel like I’m being hear.
She is kind, warm and attentive. I like spending time talking about my issues.
