Hello. I am a certified rehabilitation counselor and a licensed mental health counselor. I have been in the field for six years. I have worked in various settings including: out-patient, in-patient chemical dependency and in-patient mental health, day treatment programs and the emergency department. I have worked with a wide variety of individuals struggling with trauma, chemical dependency, mood and anxiety disorders, autism, ADHD, schizophrenia, relationship and family issues, gender identity, career and education, and others.
My counseling style is warm and empathetic. I enjoy a collaborative relationship between counselor and client. You are, after all, your own best resource. I am merely here to help you tap into some skills that will help you along in your journey. I use a multi-mode approach to counseling and borrow from the following: dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, and music. I really enjoy teaching coping skills such as breathing techniques and progressive muscle relaxation. I like to practice them along with you so that you can truly understand them and utilize the skills on your own.
Asking for help can feel overwhelming. Validate yourself for taking this important first step to changing your life. I look forward to working with you!

Amanda is wonderful! She makes you feel like you are talking to a good friend. She always checks in with you. I can’t say enough how she has helped me so far in a short time. I am truly lucky to have her as my counselor.
I've only met with Amanda once, but she was a very good listener. She was also helpful with the advice she gave me. Hopefully, the therapy will continue to get better. I like her!
Amanda has been an incredibly guide support in my life. She always checks in and she really does provide the support I need during my good and bad weeks.
Amanda is the best! Talking with her feels like talking with a long-time, trusted friend. She always has something helpful to say and an insightful way of looking at things, that so easily turns my head around. Can't thank her enough.
Amanda has been a wonderful counselor. I'm a musician and I really enjoy that Amanda is a musician as well. She understands where I'm coming from and gives me great tools to work with.
Amanda is amazing. She really cares about how I'm doing and remembers some of the most minor details I tell her. Even if we don't an appointment she will randomly check in with me to see how I am doing. I'm extremely grateful to have Amanda as a counselor.
We have only been working together a short while, but after our first session it was extremely clear to me what a supportive queen Amanda is. She’s knowledgeable and so easy to talk to, I can’t say enough good things about her. I’m so glad to be working with her.
Amanda is a genuine and kind hearted person. This was my first time speaking to any kind of therapist and although I was nervous, Amanda really took the time to listen to me and help me with my depression/anxiety. Her breathing exercises and other helpful tip sheets have helped me so much in such a short period of time and I am so grateful to have been matched to such a thoughtful and caring counselor. She is the best!
She always understands where I am coming from, even when I do not explain things well. She’s very helpful with resources and links for information. She is always prompt with her replies and makes me feel like I’m being hear.
She is kind, warm and attentive. I like spending time talking about my issues.
