I am a clinical social worker and clinical alcohol and drug counselor. I have 7 years of experience working in behavioral health and developing goal-oriented treatment plans based on client's individualized needs and preferences. I am a licensed clinician in Florida.
I have experience with adolescents in the juvenile justice system, child welfare systems, mental health and substance use disorders treatment.
My clinical interests include: young adults in transitional settings, identity and role confusion, trauma, coping skills, self-esteem, anger management, syllabus management, developing routines and breaking bad habits, recovery and addiction, co-occurring mental health disorders, crisis intervention, job attainment, relationship issues and break ups, spirituality, trauma-informed yoga, yoga for addictions, and group and family therapy.
I describe myself as a mindfulness based therapist who looks at relational and adaptive patterns. I practice from strength–based approaches and include lifespan development, attachment theory, Cognitive Behavioral approaches, trauma-informed therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I love Amanda! She has helped me progress so much and I will forever be grateful
Amanda is fantastic! She's very responsive and genuinely cares and remembers even the smallest details. She always takes the time to thoughtfully respond to any problem. She's a great example of why Betterhelp is a great service and I'm looking forward to continuing to work with her.
Amanda is amazing. She’s very considerate and she’s always encouraging me to be the best version of myself. I woulda never gotten this far in my recovery if it wasn’t for her.
Amanda is amazing. I started betterhelp unsure of what the outcome would be. But sense I started betterhelp my depression isn’t as bad as it was and my anger has gotten a lot better too. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Amanda. She’s given me all the tools I need to do this on my own. She listens and gives the best advice she can. All the exercises she’s given me has helped tremendously. I’m so happy I used betterhelp, it’s something i will never regret doing.
Amanda has been a great source of calm and non judgment during a difficult and confusing time for me. I'm very picky with therapists and can be a stubborn client and Amanda has done an excellent job of building trust and helping me to find some clarity and guidance just within a few sessions.
I think Amanda is great! I’m not the best at keeping up with her, or keeping her in the loop. But she still takes time out of her week to check in on me. I appreciate it a lot and she does her best to give me advice and goals to help me get a better handle on myself. I’m grateful that I have her. And I hope that everyone else she is helping us getting better. She’s very kind and she isn’t hard to talk too. I do recommend her and I do recommend BetterHelp. Thank you Amanda for helping me!
