About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor with over 10 years of experience working as a mental health and substance abuse provider. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including co-occurring disorders (mental health and addiction), depression, anxiety, relationship issues, divorce issues, career challenges, motivational challenges, sexual issues, and grief/loss. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My counseling style is engaging, person-centered, and non-judgmental. I believe in meeting people where they are at in life by helping others reconnect with things that matter most. I value respect, confidentiality, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy.

You've already taken the first step by reaching out. I would be happy to assist you on your journey of self-exploration, and look forward to working with you!

Amanda has definitely been helpful in helping me deal with my depression. It's nice just to talk to another person about these things, and she remains logical but also empathetic about life.
