Amanda Faulk, MA, LCMHC
About me
I am a highly skilled, compassionate, empathetic and solution oriented mental health and substance abuse counselor and college professor with over 10 years of leadership, program development, problem solving and training experience serving youth and adults with chronic mental illness with expertise in ADHD, Bi-Polar, Depression, Anxiety, Dual-Diagnosis, Divorce, Trauma, ODD, PTSD, Substance Abuse, Grief, Domestic Violence, Anger Management, Behavioral Therapy and Parent Management Training.
Clientele Served:
Teens
Adults
Families
Couples
LGBT
Minorities
Etc.
I offer individual and group counseling sessions. When dealing with my clients I use a more empathetic approach. I am able to see the client’s inner self without actually going through the experience and identifying with the client. During this process I ask the client many open-ended questions in order to discover what concerns has caused them to seek counseling. When dealing with conflicts I ask the client to look at the situation from the other individual(s) point of view. I make a conscious effort to bring some type of resolution to all problems that my clients present me with, if not I am more than willing to refer them elsewhere. Ultimately, it is up to the client what he or she wants to get out of the counseling relationship and whether they are willing or not willing to change their current predicament.
My Motto:
Your Life has Purpose.
Your Story is Important.
Your Dreams Count.
Your Voice Matters.
You were Born to make an Impact!

Amanda has really impacted and conquered managing my thoughts which i never thought i could overcome! Even through our massive time difference was a challenge she was understanding and flexible especially through a pandemic! She always gave me useful material which would help me to reflect on specific areas. I would highly recommend Amanda to anyone!
