About Me

I am a licensed clinical social worker in North Carolina with over 5 years of experience working as a therapist. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of concerns including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar, and relationship issues. I strive to create a supportive, therapeutic environment that empowers clients to identify current areas of concerns and develop proactive solutions that promote positive results. Through a collaborative partnership, I work to enhance each individuals ability to resolve their personal conflicts, fostering independence and self reliance.

As a counselor I understand that we are each walking our own unique path with varying obstacles and destinations within the journey. When working with clients I consider myself a companion providing support and insight while navigating through life’s obstacles. By incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused interventions we can take a Person Centered approach to resolve thought distortions and attain goals! Together we can create a road map to conquer barriers and achieve rewarding results!

I look forward to working with you.

Amanda is amazing! I was in the middle of a terrifying week the time we met and even in just one session she was able to plant a few positive seeds that really helped me make it through a critically important and stressful time. So far she has been a complete lifesaver, extremely supportive, and just plain good at her job. Betterhelp and Amanda are my dream therapy come to life. Thank you!!!!!!!!

I worked with Amanda for 3 months. She helped me work through a rough patch that I was going through involving work and personal matters. Amanda gave me the tools I needed to restore my confidence and get myself to where I wanted to be. Amanda listened carefully and was very thoughtful, compassionate, and was a good listener. I would recommend Amanda to anyone, my experience with her was nothing but positive.
