Amanda Owen, LMFT
About me
Hello!
I am a marriage and family therapist (LMFT). I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families (culturally diverse, too!). I have experience in working with depression, anxiety, PTSD, infidelity, divorce, parenting, life transitions, and more!
I graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2017. During my time in school, I had the opportunity to intern in private practice settings as well as having the pleasure to work with veteran couples through the VA. After graduation, I worked as a school-based therapist where I was able to work with both teens and their parents. I am now working in private practice where I continue to gain experience in working with a variety of clients. Additionally, I have some knowledge of the Spanish language and enjoy incorporating that into sessions when I am able.
I enjoy working with people through a systemic lens, learning more about the client's family and environment-I want to know what makes you, you! I utilize CBT, motivational interviewing, attachment theory, and structural therapy.
Let me know how I can help!

Amanda has been a wonderful help to me. I struggle with severe anxiety and at times it is random. Whenever I’ve felt alone and panicky she has always been there. I appreciate how she has been available for messaging outside of video calls. Thank you for your guidance, for your listening ear, and for helping me cope.

Although Amanda is younger, I feel that she is still able to relate to me and actually provide a different perspective. I felt like she was easy to connect to and was able to quickly pick up on issues I hadn’t considered. I found Amanda to be very helpful.
