About me
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Texas with 19 years of professional work experience. I am a graduate of Texas Tech and have worked with clients of all ages during my career. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, depression and many other concerns. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and a TBRI Practitioner.
I believe in meeting my clients where they're at in this journey called life. I believe in transparency and authenticity, and I strive to live a life full of honesty, curiosity and humor. Your unique and specific needs and goals will shape the direction we take as counselor and client.
My eclectic approach to therapy draws from Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Family Systems, Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Practices and Neuroscience. Specifically when working with clients who are trauma survivors, I also incorporate Polyvagal Theory, Sensory Integration, Expressive Arts and Narrative Therapy.
Therapy can take courage and hard work but can be such a rewarding process!
