About me

No matter what you are going through, know that I am here to listen, support you and help you figure it all out!

I look into different patterns throughout your life to help you understand why you might be feeling or acting a certain way. I help my clients overcome obstacles by looking into and exploring the various components of their lives. I help to foster insight and self-awareness, which can be the first steps towards making a real and lasting change! I work with my clients to alleviate their symptoms as well as find and fix the root of the issue... think of this like not only putting on a Band-Aid but also healing the wound!

Clients have told me I provide a compassionate, empathetic and truthful perspective. I make sure to take the time to get to know and respect the needs and wants of each individual client, and want you to feel comfortable and at ease in therapy.

I am originally from San Diego, then spent some time experiencing life in the vast and often snow-filled states in the great Mid-West...and finally settled in the crisp air and flannel loving state of Washington. I enjoy cooking, reading, Stand Up Paddle Boarding and practicing Yoga. I would describe myself as fun, nonjudgmental, positive and sincere. I love being a therapist because I love connecting with and helping people. I truly believe that everyone can benefit from therapy.

Amanda has been incredibly insightful and patient during our time working together. Her responses were prompt and she was always engaged. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a keen ear to hear your problems and a counselor with solutions.

Written on May 21, 2020 after therapy with Amanda for 1 month on issues concerning stress, anxiety, addictions, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, intimacy-related issues, self esteem, anger management, coping with life changes, coaching, compassion fatigue, and adhd

Amanda is a great listener. She responds in a calm productive manner even when it feels like the ground is crumbling beneath me. She gives me the tools I need for solving problems without her and is willing to give a gentle push to talk about what's really wrong without being invasive.
