About me

Hello! My name is Amanda and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from New York who has been practicing in the mental health field for 6 years now. Throughout my experience and career, I have worked with a number of clients and populations including: children and adolescents; adults; those with developmental disabilities and mild cognitive limitations; those with co-occurring substance abuse issues; LGBTQ+, incarceration/psychiatrically confined populations, and geriatrics.

I have specialized in working with those suffering from depression and anxiety, OCD, SPMI, ODD/DMDD, ADHD/ADD, substance abuse issues, personality disorders, cognitive limitations, interpersonal relationship issues via family/friends/significant others, psychosocial stressors, gender dysphoria, eating disorders, women’s reproductive health, and cultural differences. The feedback I receive from clients is that they find me to be caring and nonjudgmental, and they appreciate that I am honest and direct with them. You can expect me to walk with you through whatever difficulties you are facing and help you learn more about yourself and the way you interact with the world.

In my clinical experience, I implement therapy modalities such as CBT, strengths-based perspective, psychoanalysis, DBT, talk therapy, and systems theory, to help support the clients multifaceted stressors.

I find it helpful to participate in live sessions so that we can get to know each other better. However, I can interact with you in whatever manner you are most comfortable. . A majority of my availability is in the evenings and on the weekends but I check messages at least once during each weekday.

If you like what you have read so far, you are more than welcome to contact me for a consultation at your convenience. We can briefly discuss your concerns and you can begin your personal journey towards a happier, healthier, and more balanced you. There is no doubt that asking for help is hard, however, I think counseling is one of the best gifts one can give to themselves! I would be honored to work with you through this stage of your life.
