About Me

Hello and congratulations on beginning this new journey in your life! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with over 15 years of counseling experience. I have worked with individuals and families in a variety of settings including a crisis center, substance abuse treatment facility and private practice.

I empower my clients to navigate life's challenges with inspiration. I focus on encouraging you to see the obstacles in life as opportunities to grow. Maybe you're struggling with a change or loss, difficult emotions, or lacking direction and inspiration for life? Throughout this process you will gain new insight as you move in the direction of the life you desire. My compassionate, intuitive, down-to-Earth therapeutic approach will guide you toward developing goals, creating solutions and experiencing positive changes in your life. I also work with families struggling with the turmoil of adolescence, separation, divorce and other issues and crises.

Therapy is tailored to the needs of the client. I believe that each of has has within ourselves the capacity to discover our own true happiness. Your experience will be based on your own goals and expectations. I typically embrace a mind-body-spirit approach to counseling, where we will explore all aspects of your life to foster a true state of overall wellness. I will introduce you to Cognitive-Behavioral therapy to help you begin to recognize thought patterns and behaviors that may be preventing you from living your best life. We may also explore mindfulness strategies, practical tools for accepting that which we cannot change, embracing the positive and creating a sense of well-being.

I see my role as a supportive, non-judgmental listener as well as an experienced clinician that can offer effective therapeutic techniques. If my style sounds like a good fit for you, then I look forward to our work together.

Amanda has been so incredibly helpful, I would recommend her to anyone. She's a great listener, really kind and empathetic, and skilled at making me see my situation with fresh eyes. I feel really optimistic about the future after gaining knowledge of positive actions I can take, and I've gained so much from this experience.

I have been working with Amanda for over a year. I travel a lot for work so it has been very hard for me to build a relationship with counselors in the past because I am not in one place for long. Amanda and this platform are a perfect fit for me. She is empathetic, she listens, and she offers me very simple and effective solutions. I have noticed a definite positive impact on my life and the way I move through the world. Just knowing I have her if I need her keeps the stress at bay a lot of days. I am so glad that I was linked with Amanda. Our life philosophy is lined up perfectly.

When I joined BetterHelp, I was in a dark place. It was hard to get out of my head and things only became worse. Amanda helped calm me down week after week. The best thing that I have from her is no judgement. For everything I have shared. She gave me a safe space. For a person suffering from severe depression, Amanda has been very patient.

Amanda was very helpful and offered a lot of knowledge that I was able to transfer into my day to day life, and recognize negative patterns of behavior.

I can't say enough great things about my experience with Amanda! She is a very kind, compassionate, non-judgmental, and understanding therapist. We have been working together for about six months now and from the very beginning I felt like I could tell her anything and she would not judge me. She effectively uses cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques to help you conquer your thoughts and also puts you into action to change your behavior. She meets me at the level I am at right now but also pushes me to create positive changes in my life. She believes in her clients and supports them to the fullest. After every session, I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I can breathe a little easier. I highly recommend her!

So far in the short time I have been working with Amanda she has been helping me work through and see some things and advise and suggest things for us to do.

When I first spoke with Amanda I was feeling quite insecure about it. I wasn't sure if it was going to work and I was afraid to find someone that would Just share her points of view and try to convince me about it. Now, after five months with her, I can see how wrong I was. She has been a great support for me, and most importantly, a great tool to reconnect with myself. She guided me though key questions and lots of listenings, she allowed me to open up, even to myself, and gave me the tools and exercises to experiment on my own and try to get to know my own mind better. Creating a safe place and time for me.

I feel like I have been guiding my own path, with the certainty that there was someone behind me, holding my back. Knowing that there was someone who actually knew about it and would tell me if I was ever going in a dangerous path gave me a great relief.

When I first joined, I had my head filled with thoughts, struggles... I was getting carried away by routines, stress, self-doubts... And now, whenever this happens, I don't even need anyone to help me feel better. Just by doing the exercices that we have practiced, sometimes together sometimes on my own, now I can take myself to a better place, calm my own mind and find peace.

Thank you Amanda. I feel safe on my own now. :)

Amanda has really been helping to make sure I know I'm in a safe place and encouraging me in a lot of ways other counselors I've seen haven't. I feel like she understands exactly what I'm saying and can connect with and help me work out issues while making sure I'm happy with how everything is going
