My name is Amanda Wilson and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Atlanta, GA. with over 8 years experience. Originally from Virginia, I graduated from Virginia State University with a Bachelors of Art in Psychology. I continued my graduate studies in Atlanta, GA. at Argosy University, earning a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology. My career experiences includes; outpatient counseling, crisis assessments and managed care. I have worked in multiple settings from private practice, medical facilities such as Emergency Rooms and Intensive Care Units and Mental Health facilities. I am skilled at treating the following populations; children and adolescents, young adults, general adults and geriatric. I have extensive training to provide services to individuals focusing on, but not limited to; issues related to Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Relationship Conflict, Self Esteem, Anger Management and Stress Management.

My primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but I am familiar with a range of approaches and will adopt an integrative approach when necessary. As a therapist my goal is to help you identify specific challenges and how to cope with them. Together we can focus on changing negative behaviors and replacing them with healthy thoughts and actions. No matter what has brought you to therapy, I promise to walk along with you on this journey. Each step of the way we will overcome hurdles together and reach victories, you've never imagine possible.
