I want to personally congratulate you on taking this important step in considering mental health therapy for whatever your needs may be. Ordinarily, we do not arrive at this point during times when things are going well. It is the times we are in pain, confused, scared, anxious or worried that brings us to seeking out mental health care. Please know that I want to help you at whatever stage you are in your journey.
I have worked with a variety of mental health issues including anxiety and trauma. In addition, I am certified in treating eating disorders, weight concerns and body image issues. With these concerns, I work with clients to help in understanding the pressures of the "think ideal" of society and how to overcome the challenges imposed by societal expectations. I also have extensive experience in working with trauma issues for children and adults, both sexual abuse and physical abuse. I have a background in social work and am familiar with child abuse and neglect cases and reports, as well as how to help in navigating these sensitive issues. Overall, my approach to therapy is from a holistic approach, rooted in mindfulness techniques and integrative therapies.
I come from a place of non-judgement, understanding an an overall passion for wanting to help you feel better and be able to get back to living a life you want to enjoy and be present in. I not only want to help you grow, but I want to help you bloom.
