I am a certified licensed clinical social worker with a masters degree from the University of Texas at Austin. I am married and the mother of three adult children. I have worked in agency settings and private practice for over 37 years. I have been in private practice providing individual psychotherapy with adolescents and adults, couples counseling and family therapy for 20 years. I use a variety of techniques in therapy, trying to find what will work best for you. These techniques are likely to include dialogue, interpretation, cognitive reframing, awareness and self monitoring exercises, relaxation techniques, mindfulness work and journal writing. Approaching feelings or thoughts that you may have tried to avoid for a long time or recent painful experiences can be painful and scary and my goal is to provide you a confidential, supportive and non judgmental space for you to explore these feelings and life experiences.
My areas of specialization and expertise include individual therapy for both men and women, couples and family therapy. I have extensive experience working with a cognitive behavioral approach for anxiety and depression, adjustment, transition and relationship issues. In addition I have experience working with survivors of trauma, abuse and victimization. My private practice is currently located in a college town and I have had years of experience working with college age students transitioning to the college environment as well as the transition to the next stage of their adult lives.
It would be my pleasure and honor to support you at this time in your life. I look forward to getting to know you and working with you.

I am still early in the process and do not know her well enough to give a proper review, but so far I have no complaints and she is meeting my needs. My hope is to love working with her and that she becomes a very valuable and trusting person in my life, I tend to struggle with getting that relaxed with a person but I hope this grows and I can do this at a later date and say that I can’t imagine not having her in my corner. All of this will come in time. So for now, I am as happy as a person needing support can be.
Amy is the best! She has helped me through many things I’ve needed help in my life.
Amy is a very positive and encouraging therapist. She is honest with me but in a very kind and hopeful way. I am enjoying having Amy as a therapist and I am learning, bit-by-bit, to become positive and compassionate toward myself.
I like that Amy allows me to begin with my most pressing issues.
Amy is an excellent clinician. She offers a variety of techniques, unique for each individual, depending on their needs. Very responsive, on daily basis. She has helped me through some very difficult times and i'm thankful to have found her and her expertise, compassion, and also sense of humor. It is clearly evident she enjoys what she does and does it because she enjoys - and is good at it :-)
I really love Amy! She is very responsive... way more than I would have ever expected any counselor to be. At first I was kind of nervous about writing all the time, but she really encouraged me to write in the space between live sessions. I have been to therapy before, and I find it extremely helpful to be able to stay in touch with the therapist = between appointments. This is especially true because often when I would go into therapy, I struggled to remember what were "highs and lows" of that week.
Amy always has great advice and is concerned about my wellbeing. She listens and responds promptly. She makes it easy to share my life's problems, concerns and accomplishments.
Amy is very empathic without being intrusive. She's great to confide in and encouraging while also remaining very professional
Amy is great. Always available for a chat. She provides me with exercises to better deal with my anxiety.
I like Amy, and her insight is very helpful. She keeps you focused on the important things and is not afraid to give you real advice.
Amy is very thoughtful and insightful. She has a great balance of providing feedback/advice while still letting you figure some things out on your own.
Very, very supportive and helpful. I feel like she understands me and has my back.
Amy has been a great level head to speak with while I'm having a tough spot in my marriage. She can always pinpoint the area's to explore and help.
Great response time and very kind!
Amy has been such a great help so far. She always replies quickly and addresses all of my concerns and questions. I can definitely tell she takes time to actually read my messages and crafts thoughtful answers. She's also gone above and beyond what I expected and shared some very helpful Ted Talks and worksheets with me. I would recommend Amy to anyone!
Amy is a wonderful help. I can count on her sound advice and happy demeanor to brighten my day and help me navigate the path that appears before me.
Amy has been exactly what I needed. A source of advice and a way for me to express my thoughts and feelings without judgement. Thank you, Amy!
Amy is great. She seems to always be there when I need her most.
Amy has been responsive and supportive. I do feel this online interaction is surprisingly authentic and helpful for me at this time.
Amy is amazing. Simple as that.
I wanted to write another testimonial for Amy Dibos to add to what I said before. It's clear to me that she really reads my messages and thinks about them. Then, she responds with substantive thoughts and suggestions. She doesn't simply react to what I say and ask questions. Rather, she gives me something to think about or consider, something to try out, or explore. I really find that useful. She doesn't just listen (which is hugely important by itself), but she also responds with substance. Thanks to BetterHelp for having counselors like Amy available!
Amy is a phenomenal counselor! She gives me great feedback and even checks on me when I don't respond in a few days. It feels great to know that she's thinking of me and not just waiting on me to come to her.
Amy Dibos is a great counselor and she's there for you. She is great especially because I've never had someone to talk to.
Amy is very helpful. She offers practical advice that can be immediately implemented into everyday life. She is easy to relate to and very friendly. I enjoy reading her responses!
She is awesome. I was having a very difficult time and she made it all clear. She is the best....TRY IT
Amy is sensitive. Thoughtful. Very helpful and non judgmental. She is also very responsive and makes me feel like she cares very much about helping me.
Amy was exactly what I was looking for.
I've only spent a few weeks talking with her, but she has been giving great advice. Really couldn't ask for anyone better right now. Thank you so much Amy!
