About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oklahoma and have been practicing since 2015. I completed my master's degree program in Community Counseling at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2014. I have worked with diverse people and lifestyles or situations and addressed a variety of issues including children and families in the foster care system, people with addiction and substance abuse issues, and children and adolescents with behavioral concerns. I have also done work with couples in marital counseling and exploring traditional and alternative life and relationship styles, with adults who need support in living with mental illness, as well as addressing grief and traumatic experiences. Additionally, I have experience in working with military service members and their families and the unique situations and circumstances of that lifestyle. I have a diverse work history as I have a desire to help a variety of people, as well as having a true fascination with psychology and human behavior, experiences and the effects of those experiences.

I am nonjudgmental, authentic, and engaging with people, not only as a style of interacting, but these are also vital components of my values system. I feel what sets me apart from other counseling professionals is my ability to be accepting and unprejudicial of people and build a good working alliance with my clients. I have a natural tendency to invest in my client's journey and progress throughout the course of treatment.

My areas of greatest experience, interest and passion are in traumatic experiences (PTSD), working though grief and loss, marital relationships, LGBTQ+ issues, anxiety and ADHD. I also have a good deal of experience in a number of other abilities/disabilities, diagnoses, and issues that cause people distress. I also enjoy the challenge of tackling things that I am not well versed in, embrace learning new information and skills to provide support and assistance to my clients.
