About me

My name is Amy Guy and I have been doing therapy for a little over 20 years. It is an honor and privilege to be a part of peoples lives and stories. The simple act of bearing witness to what has occurred and currently is occurring in peoples lives is a gift. I love the process of therapy. I have seen over the years the healing power of therapy both as a patient and as a therapist. I use a strength based, client centered approach to therapy. I often incorporate mindfulness into my treatment and enjoy the process of working together to uncover peoples underlying strengths. I believe EVERYONE can benefit from therapy as we can always learn and grow in our relationships with ourselves and others. I own the Wellness Loft in Effingham Illinois. Feel free to check out the Wellness Loft on Facebook and thewellnesslofteffingham on Instagram to learn more about me.

She helps me take a step back and go Hmmmm.
Then be an active participant in my healing process.

First, Amy's response time rivals an EMT! Not only is she thoughtful, but also quite considerate regarding her busy schedule. Not being a big fan of therapy in general, I find myself comfortable with Amy and don't consider our sessions/conversations as a chore; rather, I am relieved to find someone to confide in to hopefully find a better coping method.
