Hello! My name is Amy Halter and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in the state of Pennsylvania. I have been practicing as a counselor for 15 years. I specialize in anxiety, depression, overall life stress and relationship issues. I utilize cognitive behavior therapy and together we will focus on changing negative thoughts in order to change behaviors. I also utilize solution focused therapy in that we will focus on what is currently working in your life and we can apply it to areas in your life that you identify are not working.
I am here to help you no matter what you are going thru in life. There is no issue too big or too small for us to focus on. Sometimes, just reaching out to talk to someone about your concerns is a big step. I am here to listen to you and share this journey with you. I consider myself to be very compassionate, honest and matter of fact. I will give you the time and attention that you deserve as we work together. I look forward to building a therapeutic relationship with you and I hope that you will get to know me along the way. **Please note that although I have a schedule on Better Help it is beneficial to contact me directly to schedule phone calls/skypes or live chats as my schedule changes often. I will try my best to accommodate your request.
I look forward to talking with you soon-Amy

I have been with Amy for a few weeks. She is caring and listens to my concerns. She has provided me some techniques for dealing with some of my issues.
Enjoying my sessions with Amy. Thank you for listening and lending good advice.
I appreciate having her to talk to and having her listen to me.
Amy is amazing and persistent when it comes to making time for me. I am very busy so it is nice to know someone is looking out for me and there for me when I need to talk. She gives her honest opinion and makes our conversations personal (but professional) by asking how I am doing and about the happy things in life like upcoming holidays and time with my family and friends. She is truly amazing. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is seeking help.
Amy is a wonderful counselor. She responds quickly, is very understanding, and a great source of support.
Amy is responsive and quickly got to the point; which is so appreciated. She summed up a lot of my frustration over family issues; in one paragraph. Which other therapists would have stretched over hours of in person sessions. Highly recommended.
I really appreciate Amy’s ear. She’s very responsive and very helpful.
Amy is one of the sweetest person I’ve ever met! She listens to me and breaks it down so I can understand what I should do. She’s so positive and always responds in a timely matter. I’ve already reached out to a few friends about BetterHelp and they’ve said they’ll be signing up soon!
Amy is wonderful! She offers great insights and new perspectives in our family therapy sessions. She's also patient and accommodating - she changed her schedule to meet with us outside of business hours, which was much appreciated!
Amy is kind and understanding. Helps to move in the right direction.
Excellent therapist, listens to my concerns. Always checks in when I cancel an appointment. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Amy is a very friendly, open, and personable counselor who has provided with me with much needed opportunities to express myself and my struggles. I wish I had more time to write about her more thoroughly, but I most certainly do not regret our time together.
Amy is terrific! I appreciate her checking in while I was going through a hard time. She just gets it, she's not judgmental, just very real and available.
