I am a licensed clinical social worker with 20 years of experience working with people of all ages. I have worked with clients who are experiencing a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, struggles with parenting, adjustment and career challenges and grief and loss. I also have experience working with people who have experienced trauma and abuse.
My counseling style is strengths based and client centered. I believe in treating everyone with respect and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy and task-centered therapy. Because we are interrelated and interdependent, I believe it’s also important to look at the systems that affect our lives. I assist clients to develop goals and put into action a means to meet those goals
Seeking therapy is a courageous step towards leading a happier and more fulfilling life. It takes strength to show vulnerability. It has always been my honor to have the trust of a client as they begin to see their own strength and resiliency and to feel empowered.
I look forward to working with you.

Amy is a phenomenal therapist. It is evident she cares for her clients and the job as a whole. Amy is timely, professional, personable & goes the extra mile with her clients. She utilizes her time outside of the therapy session to provide “check ins” or “tips of the week” as well as provides “homework assignments” as desired. She opens the door to various perspectives, she asks questions while respecting boundaries, and she creates an atmosphere of comfortability and closeness even through a video call. I would recommend Amy to anyone looking for a therapist! I am so thankful that her and I matched.

I highly recommend anyone to take her! :)

Amy has been a blessing to my family and I. Beginning our work together about six months ago, I was dealing with extreme anxiety and emotional disorder. Through weekly assignments, meaningful conversations, and occasional mid-week chat checkins, I am much more capable of managing stress, rebuilding my marriage, and caring for my business.

My counselor Amy is awesome. She is very down to earth and non judgmental. Whenever I talk to her she gives me words of wisdom for my situation even if it is just one sentence in the time we have for a session or in messages during the week. I always have a tool to use until the next time we speak along with the others she has given. She checks in on me to see how things are going or just to impart an encouraging word. Amy understands where I am coming from in my opinion. I wish I could give her a hug after every session that is how awesome she is to me! This is my first time ever talking with a counselor and it has been an awesome experience!!! I was so hesitant to do it online and over the phone because I didnt know if I would have a good experience but I am glad I did. I am so thankful to be matched with Amy!! I hope that others will use this service it helps especially with everything going on right now on top of just trying to live life!! For me getting matched with Amy was the icing on the cake!!!
